Eimskip connects the North Atlantic to the rest of the world by linking the Liner services with its worldwide forwarding network, providing integrated, reliable, and cost-competitive logistics solutions. 

Eimskip operates a vast fleet of liner vessels in the North Atlantic, vessels that transit on regular routes and visit ports on set schedules. The liner vessels are a mix of container, refrigerated bulk, and multipurpose container/bulk vessels.

We provide cargo transportation from pick-up to the final destination. This is done by moving the cargo from port to port on a liner vessel along with inland transportation and cooperation with trusted logistics partners.

Eimskip has defined its home market as the North Atlantic, stretching from the east coast of North America to the west and north coasts of Norway and embracing Newfoundland and Labrador, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands. Seafood represents a substantial part of the total cargo in the Company’s home market.

Cooperation between Eimskip and Royal Arctic Line, the national carrier of Greenland, and Eimskip is built on VSA (Vessel Sharing Agreement), where carriers share capacity. The cooperation creates opportunities for a more efficient sailing system for Eimskip and opening new sailing routes to and from Greenland.

Eimskip offers weekly Trans-Atlantic services between main European ports and North America. Eimskip calls on many ports in the North Atlantic east and west regions. No other transportation company in the North Atlantic offers the same coverage in the area.

We offer fast, weekly departures and arrivals in Portland, Maine, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Argentia, Newfoundland - to and from – Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Northern Europe, the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, Baltics, and the Mediterranean. We offer FCL and LCL service for dry and refrigerated cargo. We specialize in hazardous and project cargo and can offer solutions for all your transportation needs on our Trans-Atlantic liner service.

We offer weekly short-sea services between Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and New England. Eimskip handles almost any shipment size, from less than a container load to full container loads, reefer shipments, and oversized and specialized cargo. Eimskip arranges pickup and delivery through domestic distribution solutions to any USA, Canadian, or European place.  

Eimskip offers both short-sea and feeder services to multiple locations within Europe.
